WELCOME

Volunteers are an integral part of any community. Their time and energy provide services that the community would otherwise be without. Whether you are an individual volunteer, a group of volunteers, or an organization, the services you provide are an essential part of making Tompkins County a great place to live.

 

Please read the following descriptions to better understand how to use this site:

• Volunteers: Click on the "For Volunteers" link in the menu bar on the left side of your screen to search for ongoing (or one-time) volunteer opportunities. Unde the "For Volunteers" you can also create a profile for organizations to see, or find one-time/short-term opportunities in the events calendar.
  
• Organizations: Click on the "For Organizations" link in the menu bar on the left side of your screen to search the volunteer listings, view the calendar of events, post/update your events on the calendar, post/update ongoing volunteer opportunities, and update your agency information.
  
• The Events Calendar: The Calendar allows individual and organizations to browse the listings of one-time/short-term volunteer opportunities. It also gives organizations the opportunity to post volunteer needs for special events. Postings will be forwarded to the Ithaca Times and Tompkins County Weekly newspaper classified listings, if entered far enough in advance to meet the respective paper's deadline.

For live help (available Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM) you may use the Chat feature at the bottom of every page, or you can call 2-1-1 (for Tompkins County phone lines, others should use 1-877-211-8667).
